Copies have also been sent to publishers and ministries in Mexico, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil, England, Bulgaria, Germany, Philippines, India, Australia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the USA. Copies were also distributed at MTI's 2005 Publishing Magazines for Children and Youth Conference in Croatia, the 2006 Biola Media Conference in California USA and Litt-World 2006 in Brazil.
We will continue to send copies to our worldwide network of Christian publishing and ministry contacts in the months ahead. (This Competition book was created to provide a source of finished comics for Christian publishers worldwide and to showcase the work of the contributing Christian comics artists.)
Here is just some of the feedback we have received on the Competition and the book:
"About the book... WOW! I like it so much... the design it's wonderful, the quality it's impeccable, the colors are so bright and its entire structure is really well planned, it really catches the attention and guides the reader from the story of comics, to the purpose of the competition, the book, etc. And well, about the comics ... I enjoyed so much reading them, I'm amazed of the quality and variety, and most of them made a deep impact in my heart ... Thanks a lot for this great opportunity for all of us who wants to serve the Lord by the gifts he gave us, doing comics ..."
"The collection is very impressive. Kudos on a great job, especially your encouragement and leadership. We have some very good and talented folks in the trenches with us. God is good. May His kingdom come ASAP!"
"It's an excellent package with a wonderful variety of styles. Here's wishing you and COMIX35 every blessing for the good and growing work you continue to do for comics that honour God."
"It looks great! I've read some of the stories. They are wonderful. There is such a diversity of talent internationally. I'm sure the Lord will use many of these Christian comic folk in extraordinary ways in the future."
"I love it... thanks for sending me a copy. It's an outstanding publication throughout, beginning with the great cover. I hope that it gives Christian comics around the world a real boost. Thanks for all your work on behalf of the Kingdom of God, including the international competition!"
"It's great collection of comics! We hope that the next competition will take place soon."
"I was hired for my first professional freelance job by a non-profit organization! Comics are part of their prevention program in some social risk neighborhoods. The comics competition was an important factor to get the job, cause when I went to the interview with the director of the organization, I show him a copy of the artwork and I told him how GOD had been guided me, and I also told him how much I've been praying to get a job like this."
"I got the Christian Comics book and took it home to read over the holiday ... My son (who is 13) is now reading the comics. Thank you for sharing them with us!"
"I just want to thank you very much for sending me a copy of the Christian comix book 2005. It is a very beautiful and impressive piece of work. I want to commend you on all your hard work and dedication, and thank you for putting my meagre offering in the book. God bless."
"I'm really impressed with book design, that cover varnish is really nice, and the interior design looks very polished as well. This makes me want to compete more than ever next time!"
"We received the comics competition book yesterday, and I just had a chance to glance through it. What a wonderful publication -- it brought tears to my eyes to see the creativity of my brothers and sisters showcased so beautifully. Congratulations on seeing this project through!"
"I was talking to my magazine coworkers about comics and showed them the Christian Comic book ... I hope that we will create a small comic for our first issue next year and continue to doing it. So has promised my coworker."
"It is just terrific to receive your cartoons. It brings back many memories. I am ministering to children and youth, and I would like to work with a good artist to draw a new comic project. How do we get started?"
