With more than 15 million copies in print, “More Than a Carpenter” continues to be one of the most powerful evangelism tools worldwide. Josh McDowell’s timeless examination of the true nature of Christ and his impact on our lives is one of the best-selling Christian books ever. Written by a former skeptic of Christianity, it is a hard-hitting book for those who doubt Jesus’ deity and his purpose. In a concise, understandable manner, Josh explains how Jesus’ life and the testimony of history unmistakably affirm his claim to be God. “More Than a Carpenter” is a short apologetics book which reads like an intimate research document laying out the facts with veracious accuracy, from reliable sources ranging from secular scientists to conservative seminarians.
The Josh McDowell “More Than a Carpenter” Christian Comic Competition provided all Christian comics creators with the challenge of adapting the “More Than a Carpenter” book into an original narrative story, in a comic book or graphic novel form, and with the opportunity to pitch the Josh McDowell Ministry on their concept.
Although the Josh McDowell Ministry decided ultimately that no submitted proposal was publishable, COMIX35 was very grateful for the efforts of everyone who entered this Competition. All our entrants received a complimentary autographed copy of Josh McDowell's New Evidence that Demands a Verdict book as a special Consolation Prize.
One of the entrants sent us this very nice letter in response, and we'd like to share it with you:
"Thank you so much ... Mr. McDowell's book that you sent is amazing. I can't wait to study it. I've been wanting a book like this for a loooooonnnnng time to strengthen my knowledge about Christ, and I believe God has blessed me with the perfect book to study. I can honestly say your handling of this contest could not have been any better, and for that I pray God will bless you in all your endeavors."
