Nate Butler
President/CEO, COMIX35
L Nathan (Nate) Butler is one of the original founders of COMIX35 (ROX35 Media, Inc.) and serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. He is the main coach and consultant for the ministry and the lead instructor at COMIX35 seminars.
Nate made his living for more than 20 years as a cartoonist, commercial artist, and writer/illustrator of comics before going into full-time ministry in 1999. His former company The Nate Butler Studio, Inc. produced artwork for clients such as Jim Henson Productions, Weekly Reader, Children's Television Workshop, DC Comics, and King Features Syndicate, as well as script writing for Modern Publishing, Archie Comics, and Marvel Comics.
Nate has worked on over a dozen internationally known characters such as Archie & Jughead, The Muppets, Popeye, Barbie, Heathcliff, Bugs Bunny, Tiny Toons, Mighty Mouse, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Snuffy Smith, Animated Batman, The Jetsons, Berenstain Bears, Tom & Jerry, and more.
He was also editor/co-publisher/packager of Christian Comics & Games Magazine, editor/publisher of Christian Comics Catalog, and he co-wrote and packaged Aida-Zee, Paro-Dee, Behold 3-D, The Truth For Youth Bible comics, and the Yun: The Illustrated Story of the Heavenly Man graphic novel. He created and launched the Christian Comics International web site in 1996 (the first and most complete site of its kind on the Internet) which is now maintained as an additional ministry service of COMIX35.
Born in 1954, Born Again in 1979, Nate enjoyed the blessings of being married to his wonderful wife Susan for 30 years until her death in July 2011. He has two daughters (Carin and Christy), one son-in-law (Scott), and two grandsons (Michael and Matthew). He lives in Albuquerque, NM USA.

Pat Van Antwerpen
Board Chair, ROX35 Media, Inc.
Patricia Van Antwerpen was an attendee at our very first comics seminar in 1996. She served on our Board from 2000-2002 and rejoined us in 2009. She has a degree in Communications and has worked as a marketing media/PR consultant. Pat and her husband Russ served as missionaries for 9 years in the Philippines. They have an adult daughter, Julie, and live in Philadelphia, PA USA.

Dave Hill
Board Secretary, ROX35 Media, Inc.
David Hill joined the Board in 2009. He has practiced commercial real estate for more than a decade, specializing in office leasing and brokerage. Dave works for Maestas & Ward in Albuquerque, NM USA. He and his wife Rhonda have 4 children. |

Renée Paden
K. Renée Paden has served on the Board since 2005. She has worked as a financial planner and an accountant and is currently employed by the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM USA. Renée is widowed and has a daughter, Karisma. |

David Rogers
David Rogers was an early member of our Board (1999-2001) and rejoined us in 2011. He is the Exec Director for Dual Language Education of New Mexico and has 20 years experience as a dual language classroom teacher, program coordinator, school administrator, and director of an educational non-profit. David and his wife Rosie González-Rogers have 4 daughters and call Albuquerque, NM USA their home.

David Martinez
Dr. David Martinez joined the Board in 2011. He has worked as an aerospace engineer for over 35 years, currently through MannaTech Engineering. He and his wife Karen have led Choirs and Worship Teams in several different churches. They have two grown children, Amanda and Michael, and live in New Mexico. |

Roald Lidal
Roald Lidal is General Director of New Life Ministries, Japan. He has worked as a missionary in the area of literature in Japan since 1970, after graduating from Ansgar Bible School in his native Norway. Mr. Lidal is also Chairman of the Board of NEXT and a former Board member of COMIX35 / ROX35 Media, Inc.

Elisabeth Isáis
Elisabeth Fletcher de Isáis is an editor, author, and teacher who has been a missionary for 49 years with Milamex (Latin American Mission) in Mexico City. Now semi-retired, she was Editor-in-Chief for many years, serving with her late husband Juan, a well-known evangelist. Mrs. Isáis organized and hosted COMIX35 seminars in Mexico in 2001, 2003, and 2005.

Doug Salser
Doug Salser is President of Literature Ministries International in Greenville, TX USA, which he operates with his wife Linda. Previously he was Sr VP Publishing for the American Tract Society. He is also a former Board member of COMIX35 / ROX35 Media, Inc.

Sharon Mumper
Sharon Mumper is President of Magazine Training International in Colorado Springs, CO USA. She has been providing training resources to Christian magazine publishers in the Developing World since 1989. She organized the COMIX35 seminars in Romania (2000) and Croatia (2005).

Gerald Burch
Gerald W. Burch is an Emeritus Missionary of the International Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention. He served in Japan and Burma and was a leadership trainer for Tribal Lay Pastors and Church Leaders in 11 different Southern Asian countries. Currently he is stationed in the Tohoku region of Japan, taking a lead role in the tsunami and earthquake relief efforts. He is a past Board member of COMIX35 / ROX35 Media, Inc. |

Rey Halili
Reynaldo Halili serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Great Commission Missionary Training Center in the Philippines. He is also the Executive Minister of Flock Ministries Philippines, Inc. He is a former Managing Director of OMF Publishers Inc. and former Director of Alliance Publishers Inc. Pastor Halili attended COMIX35's first seminar in 1996 in Tagaytay, the Philippines.

Kim Pettit
Kim Pettit is Executive Director of the ChristianTrade Association International. Formerly she was Managing Editor of Publisher Development Resources at David C Cook. Raised in Latin America, she is fluent in English and Spanish and has worked as a freelance editor and translator for more than 20 years. Ms. Pettit was a judge for COMIX35's 2nd International Christian Comics Competition in 2007.

Alec Stevens
Alec Stevens was born in Brazil. Since 1985 he has worked professionally in comics as well as in magazine and newspaper illustration. He publishes biographical Christian graphic novels and books under the Calvary Comics imprint. Mr. Stevens is an instructor at the Joe Kubert School and taught at COMIX35's seminar in Delaware USA in 2005.
