Nate Butler
President, COMIX35
Mr. L Nathan (Nate) Butler is one of the original founders of COMIX35 (ROX35 Media, Inc.) and serves as an ex-officio member of the Board. He is the main coach and consultant for the ministry and the lead instructor at all COMIX35 seminars.
Mr. Butler made his living for more than 20 years as a cartoonist, commercial artist, and writer/illustrator of comics before going into full-time ministry in 1999. His former company The Nate Butler Studio, Inc. produced artwork for clients such as Jim Henson Productions, Weekly Reader, Children's Television Workshop, DC Comics, and King Features Syndicate, as well as script writing for Modern Publishing, Archie Comics, and Marvel Comics.
Mr. Butler has worked on over a dozen internationally known characters such as Archie & Jughead, The Muppets, Popeye, Barbie, Heathcliff, Bugs Bunny, Tiny Toons, Mighty Mouse, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Snuffy Smith, Animated Batman, The Jetsons, Berenstain Bears, Tom & Jerry, and more.
He was also editor/co-publisher/packager of Christian Comics & Games Magazine, editor/publisher of Christian Comics Catalog, and he co-wrote and packaged Aida-Zee, Paro-Dee, Behold 3-D, The Truth For Youth Bible comics, and the YUN graphic novel. He created and launched the Christian Comics International web site in 1996 (the first and most complete site of its kind on the Internet) which is now maintained as an additional ministry service of COMIX35.
Born in 1954, Born Again in 1979, Mr. Butler enjoys the blessings of a wonderful wife (Susan), two daughters (Carin and Christy), a son-in-law (Scott), and two grandsons (Michael and Matthew). He lives in Albuquerque, NM USA.

José Carlos Gutiérrez
Ministry Communications and Support
Mr. José Carlos Gutiérrez was chosen as our "Timothy/Joshua" -- the future leader of the COMIX35 ministry -- at our Annual Meeting in November, 2009. He has a B.A. Graphic Designer Degree with a minor in Visual Arts from the Universidad Iberoamericana in México City.
Mr. Gutiérrez has worked as a Bible-based recovery program facilitator in charge of the youth branch and has served in non-profit organizations that assist street kids.
He was the amateur category winner of COMIX35's 1st International Christian Comics Competition in 2005 and, as a result, he began working professionally in comics production. Mr. Gutiérrez created and coordinates the "Parabolas de hoy" ("Today's Parables") comic project for Prisma magazine, published by Editorial Milamex. Currently he is employed at a Graphic Design firm designing food and snack packages for top-selling brands in Mexico.
Mr. Gutiérrez was Born Again in 2002. In 2006 he married his wife Soraya, a missionary and psychologist, and they serve together as leaders of their church youth group. They live in México DF, MEXICO, and have a son, Mateo.

Marianne Randals
Board Chair, ROX35 Media, Inc.
Mrs. Marianne Randals has served on the Board since July, 2005. She has been widowed twice and is the mother of 4 grown children. Mrs. Randals is the owner and operator of the Windmill Ranch Preserve and the Manhattan Coffee House in Snyder, TX USA, where she was born and raised.

Renée Paden
Board Treasurer/CFO, ROX35 Media, Inc.
Mrs. K. Renée Paden joined the Board in July, 2005. She has worked as a financial planner, an accountant, and is currently in the accounting department of a hospital in Albuquerque, NM USA. Mrs. Paden and her husband Jonathan have a daughter, Karisma. |

Pat Van Antwerpen
Board Secretary, ROX35 Media, Inc.
Mrs. Patricia Van Antwerpen served on the Board from 2000-2002 and rejoined us in November, 2009. She has a degree in Communications and has worked as a marketing media/PR consultant. Mrs. Van Antwerpen and her husband Russ served as missionaries for 9 years in the Philippines. They have a daughter, Julie. |

Doug Salser
Director
Mr. Douglas Salser joined the Board in July, 2008. He is President of Literature Ministries International in Greenville, TX USA, which he operates with his wife Linda. Previously Mr. Salser was Sr VP Publishing for the American Tract Society. |

Buddy Payne
Director
Pastor E.C. "Buddy" Payne joined the Board in July, 2008. He and wife Patricia have 5 children. Pastor Payne has been in the full time ordained ministry 28 years. Currently he lives in Snyder, TX USA.

Gerald Burch
Director
Mr. Gerald Burch joined the Board in November, 2009. He and his wife Brenda were missionaries from 1974 until they retired in 2009. During that time they served in Japan, Myanmar (Burma), and 11 different countries in Southern Asia. Mr. Burch has 2 grown children, Melissa Kay and Gary Dwayne |

Dave Hill
Director
Mr. David Hill joined the Board in November, 2009. He has practiced commercial real estate for more than a decade, specializing in office leasing and brokerage. Mr. Hill works for Maestas & Ward in Albuquerque, NM USA. He and his wife Rhonda have 4 children. |
